  • Steve Brecher wins 2009 WPT Bay 101 Shooting Star

  • The 2009 WPT Bay 101 Shooting Star tournament was won by fellow Full Tilt Poker Pro Steve Brecher, which was his first WPT title. Beating 391 players he secured the $1,000,000 prize fund as well as place at the upcoming $25,000 WPT championship.

    Steve had started the tournament in 3rd place coming to the final table, with a healthy $2 million in chips. The WPT final was one of the longest on record lasting 2hrs and 45 minutes when the last of 54 heads up hands was played against Kathy Liebert who had been 2:1 down.
  • Huck Seed wins 2009 National Heads-Up Championship

  • Huck Seed became the 2009 National Heads Up Champion after beating Vannesa Rousso 2-0. Huck Seed is one a Full Tilt Poker Pro who has had previous run is the past four NHUPC tournaments but had never won the trophy till now. He is now the third pro to win the tournament after wins from Chris Ferguson and Phil Hellmuth.

    The tournament prize comes with a trophy, and $500,00 in cash for the winner. Huck Seed has now taken his earning to more than $4.5 in winnings across the various tournaments across the world.
